The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) received Syrian Artist Sara Shamma on January 19, 2011, during its Regional Meeting that was held in Mövenpick Hotel in Dead Sea, in order to introduce her to the Executive Director of the Programme Mrs. Josette Sheeran and to the other Directors, as the new "Celebrity Partner" of WFP. Shamma explained her role and her most important future plans to support the Programme and bring attention to its projects. In this occasion, five large paintings of the artist were exposed in the hotel, the paintings will remain exposed during the 3 days of the conference.
